How Public Speaking Has Changed for Teenagers After the Pandemic

The pandemic changed how teens approach public speaking. With schools moving online, speaking in front of a camera became the norm. Teens got better at using tech tools like Zoom, but they also found it harder to connect with their audience and stay focused at home.

Social media platforms like TikTok encouraged teens to keep their speeches short and engaging, often using images or memes. Additionally, mental health became a bigger topic, with many teens speaking out about struggles like anxiety and isolation.

As life returns to normal, public speaking will remain a mix of in-person and virtual. Teens now have new skills that will help them in school and beyond.
